Beginning Monday, Nov. 17, work will begin on Mill Road in Northfield as part of a county road improvement project. A detour will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 21 on the eastbound lane only, between Shore Road and Bay Avenue. Lane shifts will be in effect on the westbound lane to allow motorists to proceed through the work area.

In addition to this detour, alternating lanes of traffic will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 18 and 19, between Bay Avenue and the Margate Bridge causeway.

Delays are expected. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and allow extra time to reach their destinations or find an alternate route.
