A detour is currently in effect on Shore Road in Somers Point, between Meyran Avenue and Wilmont Avenue, for an emergency repair to a fire hydrant as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

Motorists are advised to find an alternate route and allow extra time to reach their destinations.

Repairs are expected to be finished by 4 p.m. today.
