Gas station robbed in West AC
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – Police are looking for a suspect in a robbery at Atlantic City Gas on the Black Horse Pike 12:40 a.m. Sunday, June 22.
The suspect is described as a black male, possibly in his teens, 5 feet 7 inches, thin build, wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt with a gold emblem on it, black pants and a white ski mask.
Officer Kyle Warren responded to the West Atlantic City gas station Sunday, where he spoke to a 31-year-old male employee.
The employee told police he was counting money in the attendant’s booth when he was approached by a male who demanded money.
He said the suspect grabbed a small amount of cash out of the employee’s hand, at which time the attendant locked himself in the booth.
The suspect then picked up a rock, threw it through the glass booth, and reached inside to grab an undetermined amount of cash before running off westbound behind the area businesses.
Officers John Dowd, William Loder and a K-9 Unit from Pleasantville Police Department assisted in the search for the suspect.
