Margate man charged in burglary at Heathercroft
EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP – Police have arrested a Margate man in connection with a May 14 burglary at the Heathercroft Condominiums.
Justin Flynn, 26, of Margate was arrested Friday, May 16 after Lt. Ken Bergeron and Officer Stephen Swift from the Margate Police Department assisted Detectives Mark Wagner and Fred Spano of Egg Harbor Township with the search of a residence May 16 on Harding Avenue in Margate, where they recovered some of the stolen property.
Flynn was taken into custody after a short foot chase.
Police said more than $3,000 in cash, a number of prescription drugs, and various forms of identification that had been reported taken in the burglary, in which the front door of the residence had been forced open, also causing damage to the door frame.
The investigation was conducted by Officer William Loder, Officer Patrick Daly and Detective Heath Per.
Margate police charged Flynn with resisting arrest and eluding. Bail was set at $35,000 cash.
Egg Harbor Township police charged him with burglary, theft, criminal mischief, three counts of possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $25,000 cash. Flynn is being held in the Atlantic County jail.
